James Loney is a first baseman who plays for the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Loney was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the first round (#19 overall).
He had signed with Baylor University to play college baseball, but opted to sign a pro contract.
Loney made his major league debut with the Dodgers on April 4, 2006 against the Atlanta Braves.
Loney was a unanimous selection to the 2007 Topps Major League Rookie All-Star Team.
In 2008, Loney began the season as the starting first baseman and had a 15-game hitting streak.
